Audiobook Narration
Telling A Story
I had the pleasure of narrating the insightful sci-fi novel LumaSynchrony. This project marked my first audiobook narration experience, and it taught me a tremendous amount about both the craft and the process of voice performance.
The book featured approximately thirteen unique characters, including four with distinct foreign accents, which made the experience both creatively demanding and incredibly rewarding. One of the most valuable aspects of the project was the opportunity to work directly alongside the author Kentyn, throughout the narration process. Collaborating closely helped me better understand each character’s personality, emotional depth, and voice, while also making the recording sessions genuinely enjoyable.
As a musician and performer, I found audiobook narration surprisingly familiar in many ways. Both music and narration are rooted in storytelling, emotion, and stepping into the perspective of a character or multiple characters to create an authentic connection with the audience.
Narrating LumaSynchrony challenged me in ways I never expected, but it also deepened my appreciation for storytelling through voice. I’m immensely grateful for the opportunity to have brought this story to life.
